Beaver, led by keyboardist David Beaver, made a lasting impact with their 1973 album “Combinations.” After stints with The Gentrys and Edgewood, Beaver’s solo project fused pop, blues rock, and psychedelia. Released under TMI Records, associated with Steve Cropper of Booker T. & The MG’s, “Combinations” showcases Beaver’s musical range. Tracks like “I Wanna Show You” and “The Wizard Of Menlo Park” highlight his skill in complex arrangements, enriching Memphis’ musical legacy.
