Hailing from the historic Orange Mound community, DJ Zirk is a pioneering force in Southern hip-hop and a foundational figure in the iconic Memphis rap scene.
Known for his gritty beats, hypnotic flows, and innovative production, Zirk shaped the underground sound that would influence generations of artists.
His 1990s hits like “Lock’em in the Trunk” showcase his raw storytelling and visionary approach.
In recent years, DJ Zirk has been pivotal force behind-the-scenes producing hits for artists like Gangsta Boo, Meg Thee Stallion, Latto, Suicide Boys, Al Kapone, and Denzel Curry…just to name a few. His music has also been regularly featured on various TV shows such as P-Valley & during live broadcasts of the Memphis Grizzlies games.
His legacy extends beyond Memphis & can be heard in contemporary hip-hop globally, proving that his contributions to the culture remain timeless. He continues to perform live at various music festivals and private events.
